Mass Spectrometry Society of Japan

The Mass Spectrometry Society of Japan (MSSJ) was established in 1953 and is the first society in the world for mass spectrometry research. The Society is now playing a role as a member of the International Mass Spectrometry Foundation (IMSF).

The Society held the 1st Asian and Oceanic Mass Spectrometry Conference in 2010, and the 19th International Mass Spectrometry Conference (IMSC 2012), the first international conference on mass spectrometry in Japan. In 2012, the Society also launched the international journal Mass Spectrometry.

MSSJ is working to disseminate accurate knowledge as a society of mass spectrometry experts while opening up the future of science and technology in collaboration with industry.
